Why a Sustainable Diet Is Also the Healthiest Diet
The way we resource and choose what we eat is no longer sustainable for a number of reasons.
As the world population continues to grow, as do our waistlines and increasing poor health, we must take a step back and consider how and what we feed ourselves.
It's not just about what we consume, it's also about how realistic it is to keep up with our demands on the planet.
We pollute our earth with chemicals and plastics, force animals to live in horrendous conditions, over fish our waters and over-hunt our lands.
We eat less and less of what our bodies truly need, and more of prepackaged processed convenient foods that do more harm than good.
To top it off, we then over buy and mismanage our food purchases, creating more and more waste.
In this podcast episode, Gillian chats to Registered Associate Nutritionist Coach, Emilia Gordes on the highly important and urgent topic of sustainable diet and why it's also the healthiest diet - not just for our own selves, but for the planet.
